The Challenge

Productivity apps are a crowded, skeptical category, most people have already downloaded and abandoned two or three. Pulse needed campaign visuals that could cut through that fatigue by speaking to the actual feeling of a scattered, overloaded workday, rather than leading with another feature list.

The Idea

Every visual centers on the same illustrated character, a stand-in for the user, moving through the emotional stages of disorganization: struggling, distracted, scattered, and finally, in control.

The paper-cutout collage style keeps the tone approachable and human rather than corporate, while the blue, lime, and orange palette on a notebook-grid background ties the whole system to the idea of structured creativity. Each visual leads with a different emotional entry point, but the recurring character makes the campaign instantly recognizable across every post.

The Campaign Designs

Visual 1: "Stop Climbing, Start Moving" Leads with the feeling of struggle. The climbing metaphor visualizes the exhausting effort of managing chaos manually, while "Flow" and "Creativity" tags hint at what Pulse replaces that struggle with.

Visual 2: "Focus Feels Good" Leads with relief. A calm, centered illustration of the user working inside a clean circle, while calendars, messages, and notifications swirl chaotically outside it, makes the promise of focus feel tangible rather than abstract.

Visual 3: "Your Ideas Shouldn't Live Everywhere" Leads with the core problem: scattered tools. A collage of sticky notes, chat bubbles, and calendars circling a single central mark visualizes fragmentation, setting up Pulse as the one place all of it belongs.

Visual 4: "From 'I Should' To 'I Did'" Leads with transformation. A vertical sequence follows the same character through idea, planning, and execution, ending in a celebratory moment, turning the app's value into a visible before-and-after rather than a claim.

The Outcome

By building the entire campaign around one recurring character and a consistent visual system, Pulse gets a set of ads that feel like a story rather than four disconnected promotions. Each visual can stand alone on a feed, but together they build a complete emotional arc from overwhelm to follow-through.

Result: A campaign that sells the feeling of finally getting organized, not just another to-do list app.
